Get ready for Sunday! Here’s our set list for this weekend’s worship gatherings. Join us at 9am or 11am (identical gatherings) on Lower Street. We can’t wait to see you there!
Today is the last day of our Women’s Bible Study: God of Creation (Genesis 1-11). We prayed fervently like Paul in Ephesians Chapter 1: . “that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you...” . And we have seen God answer that prayer! We can’t wait to continue Genesis 12-50 next time!! #godofcreation #womeninthegrove #thegrovesp
“Growing up in Spruce Pine, I attended church like many in the area from time to time and attended vacation bible school as a young child. I believed in God, but had no relationship with him. I would find going to church boring and never truly wanted to go. After high school, I joined the military. Before my first deployment, my grandmother gave me a small pocket bible. Away from home I tried to read it a few times, but never made it far because of distractions or laziness. In the military I continued to live my life partying and selfishly, but God continued to chase me down while I continued to run from him. It wasn’t until I got out of the military that my wife and I move to Montana and I started taking my relationship with the Lord seriously. In Montana, at an Easter service I responded to the Gospel, was baptized and started a new path. Shortly afterwards my wife and I decided to move back home to Spruce Pine. While at home, we looked for a church and we were invited to The Grove Church. At The Grove, my wife and I feel at home and surrounded by people who love and pour into us. What GroveKids learned yesterday: God went ahead of Joshua and the Israelites into the promised land. He showed His power to them so they would trust in Him. When Jesus came to earth, He showed His power so people would trust in Him and be saved from sin. #thegospelprojectkids

What GroveKids learned yesterday: No other prophet in Israel was like Moses—until Jesus came. The Bible says Jesus deserves more glory than Moses. Jesus died and was raised so that Moses and every believer in all of time can enter the promised land of God’s kingdom. #thegospelprojectkids

What GroveKids learned yesterday: Balaam could not curse God’s people. God had blessed the Israelites, so Balaam blessed them too. Fourteen hundred years after Balaam announced God’s promise, Jesus was born to bless the whole world by rescuing people from sin. #thegospelprojectkids

What GroveKids learned yesterday: God sent snakes to punish Israel for their sin, but anyone who was bitten could look at the bronze snake on the pole and live. Because of our sin, we deserve to die, but anyone who looks to Jesus on the cross will live forever with God. #thegospelprojectkids
